Redpath Australia's full-service contract at Edna May covered all aspects of underground mining, from decline and lateral development to production mining through long-hole stopping and controlled blasting. The scope also involved backfilling with Cemented Rock Fill (CRF), essential for ground stability, ventilation construction, and specialized airleg work for escapeways. To manage substantial water volumes underground, Redpath installed a robust dewatering system capable of handling up to 90 liters per second. Edna May operates as a digital mine to maintain peak productivity.
