Located approximately 140km south of Townsville in Queensland, the Mt Carlton project marked a shift from open-pit to underground mining with Redpath playing a key role in establishing underground development to support the extraction of gold, silver, and copper.
Redpath's work at Mt Carlton includes portal and decline development, along with CRF backfilling to support underground stability in this gold, silver, and copper mine. A modern fleet Sandvik jumbos and loaders, teamed with Epiroc trucks for haulage, provides greater efficiency and reliability for the project. Redpath employs LEAN/5S principles to optimize productivity and efficiency, ensuring safe, reliable fleet operations and effective underground production activities.
